Boys Cricket

The year 9 and 10 cricket team played against St. Ivo School on Thursday 11 June and played tremendously well scoring 158 runs for the loss of three wickets.  In reply St. Ivo were bowled out for 89 runs off 15.7 overs.

 

 

 

YEAR 7 ATHLETICS DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIPS

Students participated in the district Year 7 championship. We have won the event for the last two years and this year’s students did not let us down!!

The boys team came first, girls came second but with the highest accumulative total we won!!

Longsands 2nd, Hinchingbrooke 3rd, St Ivo 4th, St Peters 5th, St Neots 6th, and Abbey did not have a team.

 

 

DISTRICT ROUNDERS TOURNAMENT

 

On Wednesday night we competed in the district rounders tournament at St Ivo. The Year 7’s came joint champs with St Ivo. The Year 8 team and Year 9 team won every game in their tournaments to be champions.

The Year 10 team bless them were in tears at the end when they found out they lost their title of three years by 1 rounder to Longsands in the final.

Every pupil was an absolute credit to Sawtry CC, especially in the pouring rain. My thanks to Miss Davies and Miss Bajwa for their hard work training and coaching their teams.
