Bridge Club

Every Tuesday lunch time there is a Bridge club. Come along and learn to play the card game Bridge. Mrs Swannell will be running the club every week!

Maths

Formula 1 maths club is open for all Keystage 3 on Monday lunch times. The year is started by constructing a car and then racing it against other students in the school. By the end of the year, students can be racing against other students from across the country.

 

Duke of Edinburgh Award

The Sawtry Open Unit offers all 3 Awards. Students from year 10 upwards can enjoy the challenge of the awards right the way up to 6th form. Meetings tend to be on Thursday evenings.

 

Art Club:

Art Club with Mr Hughes is on Wednesday lunchtimes giving students the chance to continue with work being produced in art lessons.

Life Drawing class: This is open to A level and select GCSE students usually from September - May on Tuesday evenings 5pm-8pm. This club offers nude model studies with varying themes and approaches to capturing the figure in a visual way.

 

Eco-Group:

This group run by Miss Calder will meet at 1pm on Wednesday Week A in A6. The group is open to all years and focuses on eco friendly developments and issues in and out of school.

 

The Modern Foreign Languages Leaders Award club will be on again on Thursday lunchtimes in the MFL centre, it is open to Year 10 students

 

History Club:

This club is open to all Key Stage 3 historians on Thursday lunchtimes in H6. Students will have the opportunity to research their favourite historical events and people. They will then put together a presentation to show the rest of the History club termly.

 

ICT Club:

GCSE pupils are welcome every lunch time to work on any ICt coursework they wish.

Tuesday and Thursday lunch times are open access to all pupils in T15.

ICT Academy Sessions:

Monday 3.25 – 4.30 

Microsoft Digital Literacy Curriculum – leading to the OCR Entry Level Certificate in Digital Literacy qualification. This is to be offered to Year 9s only.

Thursday 3.25 – 4.30     

Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS) – which is MOS for Office 2007. This is available to year 10's by invitation.
